Digitech Systems announces the release of PaperVision^® Enterprise Report Management

October 1, 2004— Digitech Systems announced today the release of PaperVision^® Enterprise Report Management (Report Management). Report Management is a print data stream processing engine that offers quick access and retrieval to otherwise complex, difficult to manage data. Report Management is available as an optional, affordable component of PaperVision Enterprise, the premier document and content management solution and will be released as an optional service on ImageSilo in the near future. Together these products allow users to process print data into electronic reports that can then be viewed, printed, faxed, and emailed anywhere in the world.

Report Management converts ASCII or EBCDIC print data streams (sometimes referred to as COLD/ERM reports) into an indexed electronic format and then stores these reports within the document and content management system with the ability to overlay data on corresponding preformatted forms. Mission critical data from mainframe and central processing systems can now be displayed and managed directly in the PaperVision Enterprise document and content management system without printing and scanning first!

The processing of print data streams can be a complicated and time-consuming task, but Report Management makes it easy. Sophisticated file analysis walks the user through a graphical job setup process, and a test layout function saves even more time by allowing the user to test a small subset of data prior to running the whole batch. Automated indexing eliminates costly keystrokes and means you’ll never lose a critical document again. Optional file compression offers a reasonable balance between saved space and processing time. Once data is processed, users can leverage all of the functionality of PaperVision Enterprise to guarantee the integrity and availability of critical information.
